We (Chris Shepherd and 12Foot6) are back in London for the all new international showcase of some of the best shorts on the planet at the brilliant The Book Club in London’s EC2.

Bringing together some of the best in short film and animation, award-winning directors will include Julia Pott, Will Anderson, Jordan Bruner, Chintis Lundgren, Perrie Murphy, Dog Judo, 12Foot6, Sergi Sanchez a.k.a OMBREBUENO, Duncan Cowles, Monika Forsberg, Lucy Izzard & Laura Coates, Run Wrake, David Shrigley and Will Sweeney.

With funny man Phil O’Shea on hand to keep you amused mid-screenings (we break the screenings into three parts) this Bar Shorts is not to be missed!

We’re rather pleased to have Dog Judo selected as part of this years Edinburgh Short Film Festival. The full line-up is yet to be announced so watch this space, all we know is that Dog Judo greatness will be screened on 15th June at the former Royal School of Veterinary - Summerhouse in Edinburgh.

Woohoo, we are at the vet school making a film right now… you’ll have to comeand see us then!

Yesterday we met with Donald. He has been busying himself making the hand and feet armatures for our monkey. It’s a different kind of stress when you don’t have to/get to do everything yourself. I had people help me with Tom Moody, but not like this. This takes trust, to tell people what you imagine, what you’d like, then have them take control of it. A bit of the film becomes theirs. Everything grows slightly to accommodate us all. Donald’s work is exquisite. The real joy is when you tell someone what it is you want and they give you something a little bit better. Will and I have spent the last few days bashing the script around. The last couple of months have been a definite step up for us both in pushing our writing, but the story is sharper, the lines and the shots feel punchy, everything on every page has been crafted and thought about. I feel confident about it. I’ve also really enjoyed it, as always Will and I employ a work ethic that flits between dedicated concentration and fucking around like idiots. At one point we considered changing the title and tag line of the film to: Spunky Monkey. – Inspired by love a monkey with two vaginas dreams of having three vaginas. Profound. I think we’ll probably stick with calling it Monkey Love Experiments for now.

Last week I’ve been busy drawing the 1st animatic. Like the script, we both know that there’s a lot of drafts to go before it works the way it should… but it’s nice to watch it through for the first time.

Since then, I’ve been orbiting the moon in a Lunar Landing Module.
